Garry Meaburn is a cloud and infrastructure architect with over 25 years’ experience designing enterprise-scale public, private and hybrid cloud systems. His experience includes a role as Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, where his work included generative AI proofs of concept and projects focused on retrieval-augmented generation. Earlier roles include Domain Architect in the Cloud Centre of Excellence and Lead Architect in CTO Research and Applied Development at Barclays, Solution Architect at Rathbones Wealth Management, Research Director at Gartner, and architecture and operations roles at Unilever and Microsoft.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Sunderland University, is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and holds the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK). He is a named inventor on two US patents (11748505 and 11743260) for cloud platform security controls, co-authored the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Field Guide (2006), and was an AWS Community Builder (2020 to 2021).
